Summer Beauty Favorites

Todays blogpost is about my current beauty favorites that I would like to share with you guys, as summer is rapidly coming to an end its time to reflect on my most used summer beauty items this summer. Below shows an image of what products I will be mentioning in this blogpost! lets get started :)

The first product that I have been loving is aloe vera gel, not that many people know this but I have to say that I cannot live without this product. Maybe its the fact that I do notice a change in my skin and the taming of my eyebrows. According to my research and my experience aloe vera actually makes your eyebrows grow out stronger and thicker, so this is a really helpful tip for people who overpluck their eyebrows (pshh. me)

The maybelline nudes palette is a beautiful palette that contains 12 eyeshadows that are very natural looking, perfect for every day use. After using it for a couple of weeks I found a look that I really like wearing out using this palette!, comment below if you want to see my everyday eye makeup look :)

I have actually been using this simples lotion for a long time, almost 1 and a half years now. This is my holy grail lotion, as it is not heavy or too light for the skin. A bonus to this product is that it doesnt break out your skin (at least for mine it hasnt and I have combination skin). Since my face is oily and dry and easily irratated, I rely on this product to balance my skin pH levels.

I purchased this oil in the beginning of summer when I was in the UK doing a summer camp, since I didnt bring a hair oil to this summer camp my hair was crazy (it was frizzy, puffy and dry, maybe because of the weather and the hard water that they have). Anyways this really helped add moisture back into my hair, and another positive thing about this product is that it comes in an spray form so you dont have to apply to your hands and have greasy hands for the rest of the day!!!

Haul [School Edition]

School is back...
Today I am sharing the IB supplies that I have purchased couple weeks ago in preperation for the IB programme, I understand that some people don't like these kind of posts however this is a lifestyle blog, and the IB is now an important factor of my life therefore I need to share this into my blog!

So the first note books that I purchased are from cotton on, I really like purchasing my notebooks from cotton on because not only are they cheap but they are also really fat with empty lined pages for me to write in. The downfall of this is, without proper care the rings of the ring-notebooks can easilybend and start to break away the pages. To protect this over the two years, I will be inserting these books in my binders shown lower in the blogpost!
(Subjects using these textbooks from Left to Right: English | Buisness | Technology | Geography)
The second notebooks that I purchased is from a local stationary shop, this is from the company Gambol, I have been using them for years and they are very durable and long-lasting, however they are a bit pricy for how much pages you actually get.
(Subjects using these textbooks from Left to Right: Mandarin | Math Study Book)

I repurposed my brothers old ring binders that survived after the IB, since I have 6 subjects I have 5 ring binders that can be used for all subjects. For subjects that require more paper work and more handouts given out, I have a clear pocket binder to hold loose paper that may need to be referred back to frequently.

This is my math Notebook, this notebook is also from a local stationary shop, however this comes from a brand called Papyrus, this is a square notebook to do math in (duh.) I usually go through 2 a year, so im guessing 4 math notebooks during ib?

A book that isnt shown in here is my mandarin book, as I currently cant find one I think I may need to purchase one at the schools stationary shop, I can actually use the one from my old school, but it has my old schools name written BIG.

Boujour Bronzer+Highlighter

From my recent trip to the UK, I picked up a ton load of makeup that I want to play with in the next couple of weeks. After staying in boots for a total of 45 Minutes I settled for a bronzer from the company "Boujour", I wanted to try out this 2 in one product where it contains a bronzer and a highlighter. Even though in Hong Kong you can also get this UK company, however you cannot get this specific type of product that is very well known in the blogging and youtube community.

This product contains 16G of product, the price I paid for this was about 4 pounds as I got 3 products (2 Bronzer+Highlighter, and one Bronzer) for 12 pounds (Buy 3 for 2), overall I think this was a steal because according to boots this product sells for 7 pounds each.
The overall packaging of this product is very cute,  the product opens up like a little booklet, and on first glance it reminded me of a chocolate bar. As you can see half of the palette is a highlighter and the other side is a bronzer. I actually really like the packaging as this prevents the product from shattering as it is not a acrylic packaged product, on my flight back to Hong Kong.

The pigmentation of this product is quite pigmented as you can see in the photo, I was actually really suprised from this and have now understanded the hype of this product. Both of these products are very buttery and easy to blend in with your makeup or bare skin, and when settled look very natural and does not accentuate the pores on your face.

To apply the bronzer part of the palette, I like to use an angled blush brush, then making the fishy face I apply this product in circular and short brush strokes into the hollows of my cheeks. I think this makes my face much more defined and make it not look 2D and more 3D in photos, I think this is very important part of makeup as you are contantly creating memories through photographs and this is what I do to feel confidient when I go out.

To apply the highlighter, I really like using my fingers to apply the highlighter as it looks more natural glow on the cheekbones, in comparison to using a brush that applies it in the area and not on the high points of the face if that makes sense. I dont use the highlighter that much as I have naturally oily skin, and using a highlighter actually accentuates my oily skin.

Overall I think this (bronzing) product is definelty a go √ product, as well as the highlighter if you dont have oily skin like me, as this can accentuate the oilyness of your face, however the bronzer applies more shape and dimension that adds that summer glow!
